PHIL O’CONNER

I graduated from The North Wales School of Art and Design Wrexham in 1998. Since then I have taught part time locally for Llandrillo Collage and more recently back at Wrexham for a short time.
When Printmaking I like to work with anything I can, to produce the mark I need. This Mixed Media approach to develop a print or a painting is something that I started doing while studying at Wrexham and now comes as second nature to me. I also like drawing not just as a means to an end but just for drawing, to just sit and draw something is a fantastic experience which everyone should try to do. These drawings I can then either take further into print making, which I then develop into a final image, or just simply leave alone as a drawing.
