LYNDA WAGGETT
I
I have exhibited my paintings since my early twenties, first as a member of the Association of Artists in Prestatyn, Chaired by Marian Christou. Since then I have developed my work in many directions
I gained an A level in Art and Textiles, an OND in Illustration, 2yrs study in the history of Art, and finally completed my C&G Design certificate (level 3) and my C&G Diploma in ceramics (level 3.)
I have practised photography for many years and have developed my painting skills, working from realistic landscape in oils, acrylics and pastels to mixed media, palette knife, no-brush art works. My ceramics are also varied; from sculptural pieces of multi glazed stoneware to Tea and coffee sets with vibrant surface design.
I am currently working towards producing a complete exhibition of my paintings, photography and ceramics for a solo exhibition in Rhyl Library Main Gallery in December 2011. My theme will be “the innocence of beauty”. This will capture, in each discipline, the beauty of nature that is often ignored, not seen, seldom perceived, and very personal to me as an artist.
